
Angela Weekes had no roadmap. Just a vision for a place where survivors of abuse could feel safe, supported, and seen. That vision became the Nampa Family Justice Center.


As a detective with the Nampa Police Department, Angela saw firsthand the trauma families carried. Two heartbreaking cases, a toddler named Ellen and an infant named Natasha - would change her forever.
Driven by faith and the weight of these stories, Angela couldn’t shake the question: “What if we could build something better?”
Angela Weekes had no roadmap. No funding. No blueprint.
Just a late-night, 8-page plan and a fire in her heart. With grit, prayer, and help from the community, she turned that plan into reality.
In 2005, the Nampa Family Justice Center opened its doors—one of just fifteen in the country at the time. It quickly became a model of care, offering support for survivors of:
