Why Hope Matters

Research shows that hope can transform lives. Camp HOPE participants consistently show increases in optimism, self-control, gratitude, and goal achievement — all key predictors of long-term success and healing.

Having high hope matters! Having hope improves pro-social behaviors, increases ability to self-regulate, predicts goal attainment, and reduces the intensity of physical suffering.
